‘Drive Towards Green’ is a milestone in Shanghai General Motors’ commitment to protect the environment. This is an automotive supply chain project whereby Shanghai GM is promoting the sustainable development of its suppliers. The project is assessing suppliers’ equipment, manufacturing processes and facilities to help improve energy efficiency and resource utilisation.
Johnson Matthey’s Emission Control Technologies business in Shanghai, China has been selected by Shanghai GM as one of the first round of 20 suppliers to participate in the project. Johnson Matthey Shanghai is actively involved in the project and work is underway to develop cleaner production and products. Shanghai GM will track the progress of the project and support Johnson Matthey Shanghai is achieving its targets.
