Technologies Division is a global supplier of catalysts and related
technologies for applications which benefit the environment such
as pollution control, cleaner fuel, more efficient use of hydrocarbons
and the hydrogen economy. The division operates globally under the
market identity of Johnson
Matthey Catalysts and consists of three global businesses:
Emission Control Technologies (ECT)
Emission Control
Technologies comprises Johnson Matthey’s global autocatalyst
(cars), heavy
duty diesel (buses and trucks and construction equipment)
and stationary
emissions control (coal fired power plants, gas turbines,
diesel engines) businesses. We are a world leading catalyst manufacturer
for vehicle and stationary exhaust emission control and a leader
in catalytic systems, including CRT®
and Selective
Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technologies. Manufacturing takes
place in Argentina, China, Germany, India, Japan, Macedonia, Malaysia,
Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, UK and USA. R&D facilities
are in Brazil, China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, UK and
USA.
Process Technologies
Process Technologies manufactures process catalysts for the syngas,
methanol, ammonia, hydrogen, gas / coal to products, oil refineries
and gas processing industries. Davy Process Technology develops
chemical process technologies and licenses them to customers in
the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Tracerco is a specialist
measurement business that provides process diagnostic services through
a broad range of analytical techniques and instrumentation. Process
Technologies serves customers around the world and has manufacturing
sites in the UK, USA, India and China, supported by technology development
facilities in the UK and US and technical offices in all of the
key markets worldwide.
Fuel Cells
Johnson Matthey has a world leading position in the development
and manufacture of catalysts and catalysed components for fuel cells.
