Ruthenium dioxide hydrated is air stable and halide free. It has a high ruthenium content.

Application
Ruthenium dioxide (hydrated) can be oxidised to form hazardous and volatile RuO₄ in situ. This is used to deposit ruthenium in processes such as chemical vapour deposition.
