Corporate giving

It’s simple: we invest our money because it’s the right thing to do and because we want to make the world a better place. There are overarching themes that guide how we donate, but we are always open to support organisations that fall outside our priorities.

One-off donations

JM donates money each year on a one-off basis to charities or organisations that fall within our key giving themes; these are:

  • Science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) education
  • Enhancing health and nutrition
  • Education of disadvantaged people
  • Environmental protection and repair
  • Development of local communities
  • Disaster and emergency relief

Charity partner

Our most recent partnership came to an end in July 2018 with Plan International UK. We supported Plan through a teacher training project in Sierra Leone, funding women to be trained as teachers. This in turn improves the retention of young girls in school. We’ve also contributed funding towards a green living project in Ghana, helping young people benefit from the business opportunities of the green economy.

We shall continue to support Plan International UK and the important work they do. And before we partner again, we’re developing our community investment strategy to align more closely to our business framework and goals.
