Joachim holds Master's degrees in Financial Economics and Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg and in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University of Technology, including studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

He spent 20 years with the Volvo Group, where he held a number of senior executive roles and was a member of the Group Executive Board for 13 years. In 2021, he was appointed President of Volvo Energy and Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, with responsibility for Volvo Group's strategy, mergers and acquisitions, governance and selected energy transition initiatives.

Prior to joining Volvo in 2005, Joachim spent eight years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, advising global industrial and automotive clients on strategy and business development.

Joachim currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Concentric and currently holds/has held a number of board positions within the automotive and industrial sectors, including roles with tier-one automotive suppliers and companies operating in the aluminium industry. He currently also serves on boards of several private companies.

Joachim Rosenberg was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company in July 2026 and serves on the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.
