Ru-120

Ru-120 is air stable and contains ruthenium in oxidation state II, which is catalytically active. It is soluble in organic solvents.

Application
Ru-120 is used to catalyse hydrogenation reactions. It can also be used as a catalyst precursor for alkene (olefin) metathesis or as an isomerisation or hydrosilylation catalyst. It has been used to make photoactive complexes for dye sensitised solar cells by reaction with appropriate ligands.
