NR-24

Product number: NR-24

Johnson Matthey’s nitroreductase (NTR) has been selected for its excellent activity with a wide selection of substrates and to accommodate various synthetic needs of our customers. Substrates accepted by the NTR enzyme include aromatic and heteroaromatic nitro compounds[1].

A notable feature of this catalytic system is the exquisite chemoselectivity. Substrates containing halogens or other functional group that could be lost or reduced during chemical nitroreduction (i.e. O-benzyl, C-C double bonds, nitriles) are reduced by the nitroreductase vanadium catalytic system only at the nitro-moiety, leaving the other functional groups untouched.
