I have a strong background in new business development and innovation after five years at JM. Today, I work closely across JM’s innovation ecosystem to increase the value of our innovation portfolio. I focus on filling the front end of the pipeline with new market and new technology ideas from internal and external sources. I also oversee the team rolling out our NPI processes and systems to enable better project and portfolio management.
People with real passion and drive to make a difference inspire me. I admire their entrepreneurial spirit, desire to explore unchartered areas and determination to get things done. These are qualities I believed existed at JM when I joined, but also qualities I thought I could build on to open up new opportunities in the company’s future.
The dedication and belief of our individuals is what makes the company strong. It’s hard for any company to be unique – if defined as ‘one of a kind’. It’s the people that make a company distinctive and that’s true for JM. Although it’s challenging, the company’s culture still projects a friendly, family feel.
Everyone at JM is open to learning. For me personally, learning about challenges in new markets and understanding how JM applies its science are the two most interesting things about my job. The more you can learn about the other aspects of the company, beyond your own department and sector, the better.
