Larry Pentz to Retire from the Board of Johnson Matthey

After a long and distinguished career, Larry Pentz will retire as an executive director of the company on 31st March 2016

Johnson Matthey announces that, after a long and distinguished career, Larry Pentz will retire as an executive director of the company on 31stMarch 2016.

Larry currently holds board level responsibility for Johnson Matthey's Process Technologies and Fine Chemicals Divisions, as well as for Group Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Sustainability and Manufacturing Excellence. Larry has been an executive director since 2003. He joined Johnson Matthey in 1984 and during his career he led a number of significant businesses, including Process Catalysts and Technologies and Emission Control Technologies.

Commenting on Larry's retirement, Tim Stevenson, Chairman of Johnson Matthey, said: "On behalf of all of us at Johnson Matthey, I would like to thank Larry for the very many contributions he has made to the company over the past 31 years and to the board and wish him all the very best for his retirement".

With immediate effect John Walker, Executive Director, Emission Control Technologies, will assume responsibility for Group EHS, Sustainability and Manufacturing Excellence.
