Johnson Matthey sponsors Royal Institution Christmas Lectures in London

Johnson Matthey is pleased to sponsor this year's annual Christmas Lectures at the Royal Institution

Johnson Matthey is supporting the Royal Institution as part of our ongoing commitment to encouraging young people to study and succeed in education and STEM subjects.

Entitled Supercharged: Fuelling the Future, this year's lectures will be delivered by Saiful Islam, Professor of Materials Chemistry at the University of Bath.

Saiful's three lectures are:

  • Let there be light, exploring one of the most important challenges facing humankind – how to generate energy without destroying the planet.
  • People power, exploring how humans as living machines actually use energy, and whether it's possible to 'supercharge' the human body and increase its performance.
  • Fully charged, exploring one of the most important issues facing the modern world – how to store energy.

The 2016 Christmas Lectures will be broadcast on BBC Four in the UK at 20:00 GMT on the 26th, 27th and 28th of December 2016.
