Johnson Matthey signs exclusive distribution agreement with DKSH

We've announced an exclusive distribution agreement with DKSH, a leading Market Expansion Services provider with a focus on Asia, for the distribution of our high-technology catalysts in Japan.

Under the agreement, DKSH’s Performance Material business unit will market and distribute our extensive portfolio of biocatalysts, heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts to pharmaceutical and fine chemical companies throughout Japan. The portfolio includes our range of metal scavengers – comprising macroporous polymer and irregular silica – for metal impurity removal from organic and aqueous process streams.

Our optimised solutions will enable customers to gain a competitive edge, through increasing efficiency, minimising waste and reducing cycle times, to deliver economically advantaged processes.

General Manager at Johnson Matthey, Gerard Compagnoni, said: “We are delighted to partner with DKSH as it has a first-class reputation and extensive local knowledge of Japan. We’re excited to deliver our world-leading catalytic technologies to the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries in this region.”

Shigeru Ishihara, Director, DKSH Performance Materials, commented: “We are very pleased to exclusively partner with Johnson Matthey in Japan. The company’s advanced catalysts will greatly benefit our long-standing customer base by improving customers’ chemistry and production processes, as well as reducing cost and production waste. We look forward to a long and successful relationship.”
