Medtec Europe is the leading B2B event for pioneers in medical components. The trade show brings together 7,000 medical technology professionals from 76 countries around the world, across the entire supply chain of the medical device industry, providing a platform to share ideas, meet partners and discover the latest innovations in all stages of production.
As a world leader and trusted partner in the industry for many years, Johnson Matthey was among the exhibitors, presenting our capabilities alongside an inviting, ‘new-brand’ backdrop which received positive feedback from customers.
With experts on hand to inform current and potential customers of their high-quality precision machined precious metal components, implant grade Nitinol parts, and advanced coatings and surface solutions, the show proved to be successful in generating further interest and leads. One topic relayed by several customers was Johnson Matthey’s expertise in piezo ceramics and how our innovative solutions can assist with next generation medical technologies.
Fergus MacLeod, Johnson Matthey’s Medical Components General Manager, said: “Medtec Europe is a fantastic opportunity to promote our technologies, share our knowledge and give expert advice. We were able to meet our key customers from mainland Europe and discuss business development projects, especially in Micropumps and Biosensors where we can offer subject matter expertise.
“We hope that the quality leads and our new sales office in Redwitz, which is equipped to service all our European customers directly, will translate into additional opportunities to satisfy our current and future customers’ needs.”
Exhibition organisers USM and NürnbergMesse recently received approval for their proposed joint venture, and will now move forward with the launch of a new medical technology exhibition - MedtecLIVE, which is scheduled to take place next year, 21-23 May 2019.
