Working alongside Shell, we’ve successfully completed a detailed technical evaluation and de-risking study for our e-methane solution. Together, we’ve demonstrated that a de-risked, steady-state solution based on this technology can be delivered at scale without the need for any further demonstration project.

E-methane is a synthetic gas produced from CO₂ and hydrogen, with the potential to act as a drop-in replacement to help decarbonise transport and industry. It can be transported over long distances by converting it into liquified synthetic gas (LSG), which can be handled using existing LNG infrastructure.

We’ve adapted our proven methanation expertise to create a reliable, easy-to-operate and economical solution for e-methane production. Our e-methane technology is built on more than 100 years of research in methanation and extensive experience licensing synthetic natural gas plants.
