What does LEAD mean?
Launching
- For your first rotation, we will set you up for success by matching you with a role that fits with your background and experience – while also ensuring it is a high priority for the business.
- This rotation is nine months long and will launch you from academia to industry via one of three functions: operations/engineering, commercial, or science.
Expanding
- Your second rotation is ten months in duration and could be in a different function, stream or business . While we encourage you to build on experience from past rotations, rotation two is a great opportunity to try something new and expand your understanding of the way our organisation works. The different functional experiencewill give a broader development of skills and support your future within whichever area of the business you move to. But if you have a clear career goal, we will support your next role in a business approved ‘anchor role’, with additional stretch.
- This will build an impressive and broad CV/resume to give you a great understanding of the way our organisation works and set you up for success
Accelerating
- Your third rotation will be twelvemonths long and will accelerate you into your career as a future global leader. This rotation will include some sort of global exposure - whether your role requires traveling to visit a customer or a conference, visiting a global JM site short-term, or simply working across a global team.
- Your final project will give you the opportunity to build on what you have learned so far and prepare you for whichever role is next.
Driving your career at JM
- Across the three rotations will be specific global development events, both virtual and face-to-face. This will give you the opportunity to improve your soft skills, improve business acumen, build global networks and understand the cultural differences when working across borders.
- Having completed your third rotation, you will have broad and valuable experience which will support the business and you in driving your career into the future.
- We guarantee a permanent role for all of our graduates, and offer ongoing support, career conversations, buddies, mentors and alumni events well beyond your first years in JM.
