Dr Sheena Hindocha

Project Manager

My journey so far

Graduating from university with a PhD in chemistry, I landed a job at JM working as a Research Scientist. It was a role that involved exploring a range of different chemistries, working with a variety of people and engaging with external partners.
Recently, just a few years after I’d joined the company, I moved out of the lab and now I work as a Project Manager for Portfolio and Project Management Systems.

It was JM’s chemistry that attracted me to the opportunity; an opportunity that was originally presented to me by my PhD supervisor. I’d followed JM’s progress, knew the company well and understood the variety of science they were involved in, so the prospect felt like it was a good fit.

I really enjoy hearing about the science that is happening in our different sites. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to a number of them to meet many of the scientists who make the science happen, and it’s one of the things I enjoy most about my job.

I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by strong women who continuously inspire me to produce my best work. JM is full of intelligent, creative people who are eager to pursue internal opportunities and make an array of unique scientific products by working together.
