Dimethyl ether process
DME is an alternative automotive fuel solution and can be used as fuel in diesel engines, gasoline and gas turbines. Johnson Matthey offers the DAVY™ DME process, which uses methanol feed, as an extension to our methanol flowsheet.
ExploreMonoethylene glycol (MEG) process
Our new process using proprietary catalyst developed by Johnson Matthey and Eastman enables the production of MEG from methanol via formaldehyde. This offers a unique and exciting opportunity for methanol and/or formaldehyde producers who are interested in diversifying their product slate.
ExploreEASY-FLO products
EASY-FLO™ products are general-purpose silver brazing fluxes. They can be used on the common engineering metals including copper, copper alloys, nickel alloys, steel, stainless steel and tungsten carbide.
ExploreSTOP-FLO brazing products
STOP-FLO™ No.1 and STOP-FLO No.2 are two stop-off or ‘parting’ compounds formulated to prevent the flow and wetting of molten brazing filler metal across the surface of a component during the brazing process.
ExploreCopper brazing filler metal
The ARGENTEL™ range of products are designed for the brazing of steel or copper components and also for brazing steel to tungsten carbide in tooling applications.
ExploreSoft solders
See our range of lead-free, silver-lead, tin-lead and low-melting indium soft solders.
ExploreTube
We have a range of high quality platinum group metal (pgm) tube used in industrial and jewellery applications, available in a range of materials, diameters and shapes.
ExploreMethanol synthesis catalysts
Methanol synthesis is the formation of methanol from carbon oxides and hydrogen. It is catalysed by copper-zinc catalysts. KATALCO 51-series methanol synthesis catalysts are key to the methanol technologies offered by Johnson Matthey.
ExploreCatchment/Getter gauze
We supply palladium nickel catchment gauzes for recovering lost volatilised platinum from catalyst gauzes.
ExploreCare and use of laboratory apparatus
Correctly caring for your precious metal apparatus will provide a service life unrivalled by another other material.
ExplorePlatinum labware
We manufacture platinum labware, including crucibles and dishes, to provide maximum service life, with the bases being thicker than the walls. The capacities and shapes available meet most laboratory requirements and we can custom make other products. Most of our crucibles and dishes are made from 99.7% platinum with small additions of iridium and rhodium, but other materials are available.
ExplorePrecious metal recovery
We offer innovative solutions for effective cleaning of plant components through onsite and offsite aggressive and non-aggressive techniques.
ExploreCOS removal
The removal of COS is carried out by a two stage process which involves the hydrolysis of the COS and the subsequent absorption of the H2S which is produced by this reaction.
ExplorePrecious metal and nitinol materials for medical devices
Johnson Matthey offers high quality pgm and nitinol materials used in your R&D or high-volume manufacturing phase of the medical device process.
